VIDEOS

Every now and then, an episodes of Singing Mountain will lend itself to low-key longplay VGM playlists. These end up getting posted on YouTube, with the narration stripped. Sometimes I put a bit of effort into the visuals. Sometimes I don't. A lot of the times they feature songs that didn't make the cut for the version of the episode released on the podcast feed.

But below you can see all the videos I've made so far.

This is a nearly hourlong cut of "Diamond Dust," a podcast Singing Mountain posted in December. (Check it out here: https://soundcloud.com/singingmountain/episode-twelve-diamond-dust) It's ice level music - low-key twinkly stuff. In some cases, a track isn't from an actual ice level, but the music still suggested that setting to me.
This playlist began as an episode of my podcast. (Listen to the original here: https://soundcloud.com/singingmountain/episode-twenty-the-queen-of-trees) It's all dreamy, peaceful music that suggests a fantasy setting. Most of it is from RPGs from the Super Nintendo and PlayStation, though there are games from other genres too. I hope you find it peaceful.
And by "laidback" I mean relaxing, cheerful, ambient or anything other than the standard pulse-pounding, fist-pounding music you'd normally hear in fighting games. This playlist began as an episode of my podcast (https://soundcloud.com/singingmountain/episode-eighteen-a-most-chilled-out-fisticuff) is the most up-to-date collection of this outlier fighting game tracks I've found so far.
It's my old college study mix. (Check out the original Singing Mountain episode here: https://soundcloud.com/singingmountain/episode-fifteen-music-from-when-i-missed-video-games) Mostly RPGs, mostly Squaresoft, mostly late 16-bit and early PlayStation era. Good for getting work done.
